TREE’s Environmental Education programs are unique hands-on learning opportunities that utilize the shores of Bauneg Beg Lake and over 100 acres of forested landscapes. These natural resources allow individuals to dive in and take experiential learning to a whole new level. Join us at the TREE Center for a 2-hour, 4-hour, or 5-week (2hrs./week) program. All lessons are aligned with Maine State Common Core Standards and Next Generation Science Standards.
We ask that you encourage your students to dress appropriately on the day they visit the TREE Center since our lessons take place outside, weather permitting.
Below is a list of suggested clothing items we encourage student to wear or bring along for the day’s activity:
Seasonal:
Please be aware we may come into contact with ticks. All appropriate measures will be used to ensure that your students do not leave our grounds with ticks on them or their clothing. Instructors will conduct “tick checks” during and after every lesson.
There are some things you and your students can do before arriving at the TREE Center; wear long, light colored pants, long socks, and heavy duty shoes. These measures will help prevent ticks from coming in contact with skin.
